About this event
Fukushima Travel, the prefecture's official travel site, lists the festival as held yearly on the first Saturday, Sunday and Monday of October, which in 2027 falls on 2 to 4 October. The festival traces its roots to 1643 and Lord Niwa Mitsushige. The first evening procession of illuminated floats to Nihonmatsu Shrine is the highlight.
