Hachinohe's largest festival, held 31 July to 4 August, with 27 ornate floats, mikoshi processions and the toramai tiger dance.

About this event
The official Aomori travel guide describes a festival of over 290 years of history, designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. Its rites centre on three shrines, Ogami, Shinra and Shinmei. On 2 August the Kagami style Kiba Dakyu horseback ball game is held at Chojasan Shinra Shrine.
