Around 150 snow lanterns and some 300 candle-lit mini kamakura set around the keep and snow-covered grounds of Hirosaki Castle.

About this event
The Hirosaki Tourism and Convention Association's 50th festival ran from 6 to 11 February 2026, with a giant snow sculpture of the castle keep as its centrepiece, projection mapping on the snow sculpture, a large snow slide and candle-lit mini kamakura around the lotus pond. Dates for the 51st edition had not been published at verification, so the window shown repeats the previous edition's six days, ending on the 11 February national holiday.
