About this event
The Tatehana Ganpeki Morning Market is one of Japan's largest morning markets, with around 300 to 360 stalls spread along about 800 metres of the Tatehana fishing port quay. The Minato Sunday Morning Market Cooperative, which runs the market, publishes the season schedule: every Sunday from mid-March to late December, from dawn to about 9:00. The published 2026 season runs from 15 March to 27 December, with a single closure on 17 May. Stalls sell fresh fish, farm produce, prepared food and flowers.
