About this event

The official Aomori travel guide lists the festival as held annually between 4 and 8 August, one of the four great festivals of the Tsugaru region alongside Aomori Nebuta, Hirosaki Neputa and Kuroishi Yosare. Around 15 floats of various sizes are carried through the city to shouts of Yattemare, including the three large tachineputa kept at the Tachineputa Museum.
