About this event
Official dates for the 2027 edition are not yet published. The Naha Otsunahiki Preservation Society published the previous edition, the 56th Naha Otsunahiki, for Sunday 11 October 2026, with the flag procession 10:25 to 12:55 on Kokusai-dori and the tug-of-war 13:30 to 16:10 at the Kumoji Intersection on Route 58, and the festival runs over the three-day Sports Day weekend, so 9 to 11 October 2027, ending on Sports Day, is the expected window.
