About this event
Mount Yoshino's roughly 30,000 shiroyama-zakura bloom in sequence from the Shimo Senbon at the base to the Oku Senbon at the top, giving a season of three weeks or more. In 2026 full bloom ran from 1 April at Shimo Senbon to 9 April at Oku Senbon, and the evening light-up ran from 20 March to 19 April, according to the Yoshino Visitors Bureau's published figures. The 2027 window mirrors that frame; Yoshino has no single fixed festival, so the season is bloom-led.
