About this event
The Miyagawa Morning Market lines the bank of the Miyagawa River, from Kaji Bridge to Yayoi Bridge in Takayama's old town, every day of the year. The Hida-Takayama tourism association's official guide gives the hours as 7:00 to 12:00 from April to November and 8:00 to 12:00 from December to March. Stalls sell vegetables, pickles, flowers, folk crafts and street food. Together with Wajima and Katsuura, it is counted among Japan's three great morning markets.
