About this event
The Okayama Momotaro Festival, founded in 1994 on the local legend of Momotaro and the demon Ura, fills Okayama City each August with Uraja dance teams in demon make-up, parades and fireworks, drawing over half a million visitors. The 2027 dates are not yet announced; the window follows the late-August weekend pattern of recent editions.
