Giant Tanabata lantern floats, among the tallest in Japan at about 25 metres, light up Noshiro for two August nights.

About this event
The Tenku no Fuyajo, the Castle in the Sky That Never Sleeps, revives Meiji era giant lantern floats in Noshiro. The usual early August window is used and marked expected until the city publishes 2027 dates.
