About this event
The Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art in Nagaoka explores the secrets of kimono design through the collection of Chiso, the Kyoto yuzen house with more than 470 years of history, together with works from the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto. Kosode, pattern books, nihonga and crafts show how flat cloth becomes three-dimensional dress. The exhibition runs from 12 September to 15 November 2026. General admission is 1,800 yen.
