About this event
Floats from Kawagoe's neighbourhoods parade through the Kurazukuri warehouse district, and when floats meet they turn to face each other for hikkawase, competing performances of festival music, in the festival of Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine. The previous edition was held on 17 and 18 October 2026, as listed on the official festival site, and the 2027 dates are not yet published, so the dates shown are the third Saturday and Sunday of October 2027, the festival's traditional weekend.
