About this event
Six floats, two kasaboko and four yatai, are paraded through the streets around Chichibu Shrine to drum and flute music, and on the main day are hauled up the steep Dango-zaka slope to the plaza by city hall while fireworks are launched. The previous edition was held on 2 and 3 December 2025, and a specific programme for the 2026 edition has not yet been published, so the dates shown follow the festival's traditional fixed dates of 2 and 3 December, as given by the Chichibu Tourism Association and JNTO.
