Opening showcase of Takachiho's yokagura season: all 33 dances of the UNESCO-inscribed (2024) Takachiho night kagura, including Tajikarao hauling open the rock cave, performed over two days at the shrine. Festival performances free; nightly 'Takachiho Kanko Kagura' at the shrine (20:00-21:00) charges ¥1,000 No tickets for the festival; the nightly one-hour tourist kagura at Takachiho Shrine runs year-round (walk-up, ¥1,000). Village all-night yokagura at ~20 hamlets runs mid-Nov to early Feb and welcomes visitors with a small donation. Takachiho lodging is limited
