Miyazaki's official tourism site describes the Jimmu-sama festival at Miyazaki Shrine, held each autumn on the first Saturday and Sunday after the shrine's 26 October rites (31 October and 1 November in 2026), when portable shrines, the Okiyo-maru ship float, mounted archers and lion dancers process through the city centre. The 2027 edition is expected on 30 and 31 October on the same pattern.
