About this event
Toji Temple's official site lists two monthly markets: the Kobo-ichi on the 21st, and the Garakuta-ichi antique market on the first Sunday of every month. Garakuta means bric-a-brac, and around 350 stalls spread across the temple grounds selling antiques, old ceramics, tools, kimono and secondhand goods, roughly from 7:00 to 16:30. It is a quieter, more local counterpart to the vast Kobo-ichi held later in the month.
