About this event
Shitennoji Temple fills with market stalls twice a month: on the 21st, the Daishi-e honouring Kobo Daishi, and on the 22nd, the Taishi-e honouring Prince Shotoku, the temple's founder. Around 300 to 500 stalls sell antiques, used kimono, tools, plants and food across the grounds, and entry to the inner precinct is free on market days. The market runs from early morning to late afternoon and is one of Osaka's oldest flea market traditions.
