About this event
Kochi's official tourism site states that the Ryoma Festival is held at Katsurahama Park on the Sunday closest to 15 November, both Ryoma's birthday and the anniversary of his assassination, with Yosakoi dance performances, workshops and a giant birthday cake beneath his great statue overlooking the Pacific. In 2026 the Sunday closest to 15 November is 15 November itself.
