About this event
The Ohara Fureai Asaichi is held every Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 at Sato no Eki Ohara, a roadside station in Ohara, a farming village in the hills of Sakyo Ward, Kyoto. Local growers sell vegetables they grew themselves, along with mochi, tofu, pickles and other processed foods, and food stalls open alongside. The market has run since 1999 as part of the village's farming revival, and is organised with the Ohara Asaichi Promotion Council.
