About this event
The igloo village appears on frozen Lake Shikaribetsu in Daisetsuzan National Park each winter, built only from the lake's ice and snow, and melts back into the lake in spring. Hokkaido's official tourism site lists the previous edition from 24 January to 15 March 2026, open 9:00 to 20:00; 2027 dates had not been published at verification, so the window shown mirrors the previous edition's span.
