About this event
Katsuura's morning market has a history of about 400 years and is counted among Japan's three great morning markets. The Katsuura City Tourism Association lists it every day except Wednesday, from about 6:30 to 11:00, with around 50 stalls selling fresh fish, vegetables and local produce. The venue alternates by date: from the 1st to the 15th of the month it lines Shimohonmachi-dori, and from the 16th to the end of the month it lines Nakahonmachi-dori.
