More than 10,000 hooded and white naped cranes winter at Izumi, Japan's largest crane roost, watched from the observation centre from November to February.

About this event
The crane season at Arasaki is a signature Kagoshima winter spectacle, with dawn flights over the reclaimed fields. The usual November to February season window is used and marked expected until the city publishes 2027 programme dates.
