About this event
Official 2027 dates are not yet published. The Miyajima Tourist Association states the festival is held on the night of June 17 by the lunar calendar, and its 2026 schedule gave the previous edition as Thursday 30 July 2026, 15:00 to about 23:00, at Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and its surrounding satellite shrines. The same lunar date in 2027 falls on 20 July 2027, which is the expected date used here.
