About this event
Hokuryu's Himawari no Sato plants about 2 million sunflowers across roughly 23 hectares, including giant maze fields and a viewing tower. The town's official portal records the 40th Sunflower Festival as running from 20 July to 18 August 2026, with full bloom in early August; the 2027 edition is expected to run for a similar 30 days from mid-July.
