About this event
Because the Hakone Tozan line climbs over 400 metres, hydrangeas along the track bloom in stages from mid-June at Hakone-Yumoto to mid-July at Gora, and the trains are nicknamed the Hydrangea Train. In 2026 the reserved-seat Night Hydrangea Train ran from 13 to 30 June with illuminated viewing spots, per the official Hakone Navi portal. The 2027 season is expected on the same mid-June to mid-July frame.
