About this event
The Chiyoda Sakura Festival is Chiyoda City's spring umbrella event; its centrepiece is the illumination of the 700-metre Chidorigafuchi Green Way, where around 230 trees overhang the Imperial Palace moat and the boathouse stays open into the evening. In 2026 the light-up ran from 26 March to 6 April, per the Chiyoda City Tourism Association (VISIT CHIYODA). The 2027 window mirrors the illumination period and is set by the bloom.
