The Arima Kinen is one afternoon: Sunday 27 December 2026, at Nakayama Racecourse in Funabashi, Chiba, east of Tokyo. The base pattern is the same as the Japan Cup's: stay in Tokyo, travel out for the race, and be back in the city for the evening, in the last big sporting weekend of the year.
