Motobu Yaedake Cherry Blossom Festival

One of Japan's earliest cherry blossom festivals, held among about 7,000 Taiwan cherry trees on Mount Yaedake in Motobu.

Official dates for the January to February 2027 edition are not yet published; the Nago tourism page listing neighbouring festivals also shows the Motobu period as undecided. The previous edition, the 48th, ran on the Motobu Town official page from 17 January to 1 February 2026 and was later extended to 8 February 2026, at Yaedake Sakuranomori Park, so a mid-January start on the third Saturday is the expected pattern for 2027.
