About this event
Material provided by the Nagano Chamber of Commerce and Industry gives the festival as held every year on 23 November (Labour Thanksgiving Day) at Saigawa No. 2 Green Space, west of Nagano Ohashi Bridge, so the edition in this calendar window falls on Monday 23 November 2026. The display was first held in 1899 in honour of Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, and is one of Japan's few large fireworks displays held in autumn rather than summer.
