Hokkaido's official tourism site lists the Monbetsu Drift Ice Festival from 11 to 14 February 2027 at the Gariya district event plaza in Monbetsu Marine Park. First held in 1963, the festival centres on a large main ice sculpture built over about a month from clear natural ice and lit at night, alongside stage events and stalls serving Okhotsk seafood.
