Fukui's official travel guide lists the Mikuni Fireworks Festival at Mikuni Sunset Beach, famous for shells bursting directly off the sea surface, on Tuesday 11 August 2026, the Mountain Day holiday. The display is held on 11 August each year; the 2027 edition is expected on the same date and is not yet separately announced.
