Kusatsu's Hot Spring Appreciation Festival is held from 1 to 3 August, with a solemn ceremony of thanks to the springs, including the ritual drawing up of the spring water, and events around the Yubatake hot water field. The 2027 edition has not yet been announced; the window follows the established early-August pattern listed by the Japan National Tourism Organization.
