The Kobe Luminarie Organizing Committee has confirmed the 32nd edition for 29 January to 7 February 2027, lit in the evenings across Higashi Yuenchi Park, the Former Foreign Settlement and Meriken Park, where the main viewing area is ticketed. The event began in December 1995 to commemorate the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and has run in late January since 2024.
