Live artists perform at Jingu Stadium and Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium before about 10,000 fireworks are launched from 19:30 to 20:30, and viewing is from paid reserved seats only. The previous edition was held on Saturday 8 August 2026, as announced on the official festival site, with a reserve date the following day, and the 2027 date is not yet published, so the date shown is the second Saturday of August 2027, the Saturday used by the 2023, 2024 and 2026 editions (the 2025 edition was an exception, held on 16 August).
