Cherry blossom festival at Hirosaki Park, where about 2,600 trees of 52 varieties bloom around Hirosaki Castle and its moats.

The previous edition ran from 17 April to 5 May 2026 in Hirosaki Park, with the blossom lit at night along the moats; the festival's dates are set around the bloom and the 2027 dates had not been published when checked, so the dates shown are the expected window following the previous edition, and the actual window may shift with the flowering. Hirosaki Castle's keep, moved aside for stone wall repairs, is returned to its original position in autumn 2026, so the classic view of the keep above the blossom is back for spring 2027.
