Fukui's official travel guide lists the Fukui Phoenix Festival across the first weekend of August, with fireworks, a folk song competition and the Yosakoi Icchorai dance parade through the city centre. The 2025 edition ran from 1 to 3 August; the 2027 edition is expected on the same first-weekend pattern, 30 July to 1 August, and is not yet announced.
