Large illuminated floats depicting warriors and mythical figures are paraded through central Aomori each evening, accompanied by haneto dancers and festival music, with a daytime parade and a marine procession and fireworks on the final day. The previous edition was held 2 to 7 August 2026, and the official festival site states that information for the 2027 edition will be updated once it is decided, so the 2027 dates are not yet published.
