About this event
Hikone's official tourism site lists the Hikone Castle Festival Parade annually on 3 November, Culture Day, when nearly 1,000 people march for two hours, including children as castle lords, Ii clan red-armoured retainers, traditional firefighters performing ladder acrobatics and the Hikone matchlock gun corps. The 2026 edition falls on Tuesday 3 November.
